You Are Somebody

Many people have ended up being failures in life because they were discouraged and gave up trying. They felt they were not good enough to achieve any level of success. I have some questions for you:

• Have you ever felt like a failure in life?
• Have you ever experienced any kind of insecurity?
• Was there a time you felt unloved and worthless?

If your mind has always been filled with thoughts of embarrassment, shame, worthlessness and low self-esteem, this is the time for you to get rid of those negative thoughts. You are God’s most prized possession. You are beautifully, fearfully and wonderfully made. Don’t you know you are the apple of Gods eyes? Don’t you know that God made you in his own image? Therefore, if you claim you are nobody, it means you are saying that God is also nobody!

These thoughts of unworthiness often feel the minds of millions around the world. These are the lies of the devil aimed at cutting short the glory of God for your life. The devil wants you to amount to nothing so if you give him the chance to, he will manipulate and control your life to destroy it.

I have come across parents who call their children failures; they call them all sorts of derogatory names and discourage them. How can you call a child useless or a failure and expect the child to amount to something good in life? Constantly calling them negative names will become part of them and they will in turn, see no reason to be useful in life. Some children may say, after all, daddy says, I’m useless. If you are a parent reading this article and you fall into the category of these types of parents, please run hastily to God in prayers and cancel every negative name you have called your children with the blood of Jesus Christ and from henceforth, desist from name-calling them. Behind every successful person was a supportive parent.

As a person, you should not look down on yourself. Regardless of your country of origin, your skin colour, your income, position in the office, your age or your physical appearance or look. Be proud of who you are! Be proud of the family you come from! Be proud of the name you bear! Stand tall and love yourself. There are lots of people who never enjoy greatness in their lives because of such low self-esteem and lack of confidence. We have been admonished by Christ to love one another as we love ourselves. The question is, how can you love someone else when you don’t even love your own self? When you know you are the child of the Most High, you will exude the confidence embedded in you.

Make a decision to feel worthy of yourself: one who deserves nothing but the very best in life. Beloved, you are not a second class citizen because your Maker/Creator has not made/created you one. He said, you shall be the head and not the tail, high and not beneath! You deserve a flow of goodness through your life!

 Expect a good life and demand it for yourself. It is your right. No one has the right to limit you. The power is in your hands! You do not need anyone’s stamp of approval to feel good about yourself.  Therefore, do not be afraid! You are unique in your own way. A special woman with an important contribution to make to the world.

It does not matter what people think of you, pursue your dreams in life. God’s time is the best. It is just a matter of time before you start to shine and you will have a story to tell about how you achieved your greatness. Who is discouraging you that you cannot excel in the career you dream of? You probably think that since you have failed the last examination, you cannot try again. Because you failed in your last relationship does not mean that you cannot give another person a chance in your life? Did your business crumble and you feel that it is the end of your life? You must not give the enemy a reason to laugh at you for not trying again. If you want your dreams to come true, you must rise up and start again!

Many people sit idle the whole day together with friends and think wishfully. That approach will not help advance your life. If the friends you keep are those that are not adding positively to your life, it’s time to change them. Why associate with people that will keep dragging and pulling you down? Choose your friends wisely!

The future belongs to those who prepare for the future today. It is not too late to achieve your dreams. Stop procrastinating now! Talk less and act more! There will always be obstacles on the way, but you are born to succeed. Confess it to your life that, “though there may be obstacles and bumps on my road to greatness, I will definitely succeed”. Do you know that when you speak confidently, you stir yourself to press forward to realize your greatness?

Start by recognizing your passion — that thing which you are good at doing. Identify your strengths and talent or the gift and calling of God in your life. There is something in you that you are good at doing, use it to the best of your ability. Do not allow anyone bring you down. Have a sense of purpose and understand the meaning of life.

If someone else made it, you too can make it!
