SOUL-TIES
God created women specially and in a very unique way. Women are peculiarly designed to have greater purposes on earth. It’s quite unfortunate today that so many women do not know who they are. Many allow themselves to be abused, used and maltreated. It’s important to state here that whosoever is undergoing any abuse should be bold enough to walk out of that situation. Don’t allow anything hold you down.
Today, our focus will be on soul ties. The question is what is soul tie? A soul tie is a linkage in the soul (spiritual) realm between two people. From the word soul, it should dawn on us that soul ties links their soul together which could either bring fourth positive result or negative result.
The positive effect of soul tie involves a Godly marriage where God links a man and a woman together making them one flesh. In Matthew 19:5, the Bible says that, …a man shall leave his father and mother and shall cleave to his wife and they shall be one flesh. The resultant effect of them becoming one flesh binds them together and makes them cleave unto one another in a unique way. The aim of this cleaving is to build a healthy, strong and close relationship between a man and a woman.
Have you noticed that most times, when a man and woman gets married, they begin to achieve greater things such as building houses, promotions at work, upliftment in every area, if they never had a car, the cleaving together makes them have one, if they had one before coming together, they would have many more. They excel in all things. Now this is the positive aspect of soul ties.
Soul ties can also be found in close friendships. Soul ties aren’t just limited to marriage as seen with King David and Jonathan in 1 Samuel 18:1. Soul ties is also found in vows, commitments and agreements. Vows bind the soul together.
In the negative effect of a soul tie, the devil can take advantage of a person. Majority of the negative effect arise from sex outside of marriage which causes a person to be defiled. Gen 34:2-3. In this verse, the Bible recorded that ‘his soul cleaved unto Dinah.
This is the reason it is so common for a person to still have ‘feelings’ (think about) towards an ex-lover. Even after several years down the road, it is very common to still see a person still thinking about their first lover, even if that person leaves far away from the country where you reside and has their own family!
Satanic spirits can also take advantage of ungodly soul ties, and use them to transfer spirits from one person to the other. There is a story of a young woman who was led through deliverance; she faced severe demonic visitations and torment all thanks to an ungodly soul tie. For her deliverance to be successful, she had to break all soul ties she was attached to and the attacks stopped completely.
Do you know that when you have sexual relationship with a man, or different men, you enter a soul tie with them? Now analyze this, those people you have slept with at different times have also slept with some other people at one point or the other; now, imagine the chain, it goes on and on and on. Everything that matters and affects that man will also be reflected in you. All because of a SOUL TIE! You automatically become mentally and spiritually attached to them. Also, be reminded that when you are no longer together, situations will come when you remember the things you once had together even when you are married. This is what we call soul tie. It’s a link. Should we then go through all these to satisfy our sexual desire and sin to God?
Breaking soul ties involves determination. It’s not an easy task breaking such but when you are determined, through prayer and fasting the soul ties would be broken.
To the unmarried women and young ones, it’s advisable to abstain from fornication and immorality to avoid future turbulence. Why enjoy a minute of sin and suffer a life time consequences.
The Bible warns us in 1 Corinthians 6:18-19 to flee from every form of sexual immorality. Our bodies belong to God. It is the temple of the Holy Spirit and we should refrain from taking actions that causes His presence to withdraw from us. You can’t continue to mess up with your body and expect Gods grace to abound upon you. God wouldn’t decide for you! You must decide in your heart to be pure and abstain from immoralities.
PRAYER
To be free and loose from every soul ties, say the following:
1. I renounce all hidden soul ties in the name of Jesus
2. I renounce and loose myself from all demonic subjection to any relationship, in the name of Jesus.
3. Lord Jesus, I give you my affections, emotions and desires and I request that they be in line with your will in Jesus name.
